At Mater Dei, patients have the facility to keep themselves entertained by purchasing Melita Packages starting from only €4 per 24 hours. Each package also includes free internet browsing, free unlimited Melita Telephony to Melita Telephony calls and 60 free Digital Radio channels!

Melita Internet Connection

• An always-on Internet connection* for browsing purposes!
  * The connection will be filtered according to hospital policies.

Melita Telephony service

• Free Unlimited Melita Telephony-Melita Telephony calls and your own hello number! You and your family and friends can also keep in touch during your stay by calling on your fixed line.
• Calls outside the hello network will be charged at standard Melita Telephony rates per 10 second pulse.

60 Digital Radio Channels

1. To make use of these services, a card must be purchased from one of the vending machines located within Mater Dei hospital. Vending machines are available on Level 0, in the main reception area,  and Level 0 foyer of every section (next to the lifts) and in the waiting area of the emergency admission wardsthe reception area of each ward. (Rred level -1).

Melita Me cards provide you with credit to be used only at the Melita Me Entertainment units at the Mater Dei hospital.

2. After purchasing the card, simply place it in the designated area on the Melita Me Entertainment unit and select one of the packages being displayed. The chosen package will be available for 24hours from the point of activation. Should the patient need to be relocated to another bed within those 24 hours, the same activated package can be accessed on another Melita Me Entertainment Unit by simply transferring the same card with you. The card must remain inserted in the ME entertainment unit for the services to be active. Lost or stolen cards will not be reimbursed.

3. Prior to leaving Mater Dei hospital, any credit remaining in the card will be refunded in full by simply depositing the card in one of the vending machines located within Mater Dei hospital.
