€25 Total Control FAQs
What is Total Control ?
Total Control is a new prepaid tariff plan where customers will be automatically topped up every month with €25. You will receive a bill at the end of the month with €25. You can also top-up with any additional top-up when they like through top-up vouchers or mymelita.
How can I subscribe to Total Control?
Whether you are a new or an existing Melita mobile customer, you can visit any retail outlet or authorized resellers and apply for this tariff plan. You can alternatively call our Sales team on 27279977.
If you are an existing prepaid customer will not lose your credit balance when migrating to the Total Control tariff plan.
When will I be topped up with €25?
You will automatically be topped up with €25 by noon on the 15th of the every month. You will also be notified by SMS once the €25 have been topped up.
What happens if I do not use the €25 monthly top-up?
Don’t worry, any unused credit will not be lost and will roll-over to the next month.
Can I check my credit balance?
Yes, as a prepaid customer, you can check your credit balance by pressing *121# and then press the call button.
Can I subscribe to any daily or weekly Prepaid Data Bundles?
No, you cannot purchase any of the Prepaid Data Bundles available. With this tariff plan you have 1GB of free data usage. The 1GB free data will be assigned on the 15th of every month along with the €25 of credit.
Can I purchase an SMS Bundle – 250 SMS for €5?
Yes, you can purchase the 250 SMS bundle by sending an SMS to 16805 and €5 will be deducted from the €25 credit allocated on the 15th of the month. If you do not have enough credit, you need to top-up to purchase the SMS bundle. However, you need to top-up with €5 in your main account before purchasing the SMS bundle.
When will the 1GB free data bundle be assigned?
The 1GB free data bundle is assigned on the 15th of the month along with the €25 monthly top-up and is valid for 30 days (up to 14th of the following month).
What happens if I consume the 1GB free data bundle?
If the data bundle is consumed before the new bundle is assigned on the 15th, then you would be charged at the standard data rate of 10c per MB.
If I am a Freedom Pack customer, can I subscribe to Total Control ?
Yes, you would need to visit a retail outlet or authorised reseller. In this case, you would be migrated to Total Control and the current 2 year agreement would be terminated (the standard termination rates apply). You will not lose your credit balance when migrating to Total Control.
Important to note: You will no longer have a fixed line. If you still want a fixed line you need to subscribe to the fixed line telephony service for €9.99 per month.
If I am a post-paid customer, can I subscribe to Total Control ?
If your monthly access fee is less than or equal to €25, then you can change from your current postpaid plan to Total Control. However, you will not be entitled to take a new handset and the current 2 year agreement will be retained.
Can I make an International Call / SMS on this plan?
Yes, you can make an international Call / SMS, at the standard prepaid rates. The charges will be deducted from the €25 monthly bundle or from any additional top-up you have made.
Can I roam whilst being on the Total Control Plan?
Yes, you can still roam on this tariff plan. The same prepaid roaming rates and destinations apply. We recommend that you top up before going abroad since incoming calls are chargeable whilst roaming. Remember that any unused credit is rolled over to the following month so you don’t lose any credit and you will minimise the risk of running out of credit whilst you are abroad.
