Melita Data Centre extended its support to Finance Malta through a gold sponsorship agreement in connection with the organization of the annual industry conference.
Melita Data Centre and Melita Business are the dedicated service lines offered by Melita to all businesses working out of Malta and Gozo.
Melita’s state-of-the-art data centre facility in Madliena was designed to offer top tier security features and Tier III specifications on Malta’s largest footprint of its kind, including perimeter fencing, solitary buildings on high grounds, away from flight paths and redundant power generation and connectivity systems.
The purpose-built data centre also offers a high level of customization such as, suite allocations for larger companies requiring private dedicated space to house their servers.
The tenfold expansion of Melita’s state-of-the-art data co-location services is now complete and through this investment, Melita has doubled Malta’s existing data centre capacity. The extension to Melita’s data centre forms part of a multi-million Euro investment that the company rolled out over a five-year period.
Companies opting to partner with Melita Data Centre as a preferred service provider will benefit from scalability and redundancy options, a lesser strain on their human resources and more peace of mind that their data servers are securely housed in a proper environment.
Convened to discuss ‘Malta’s financial services industry: sustaining growth through innovation’, the Finance Malta event discussed Malta’s positioning within the global financial services landscape and adopting innovation as a catalyst for further growth within this industry.
Melita is constantly leading the way in the telecommunications sector in Malta by placing substantial investment in innovative technology that allows the development of better products and a seamless experience. Specifically for business customers, Melita owns and operates Malta’s largest data centre footprint in Malta, which is already being used by many financial services and fintech companies operating out of Malta.
“The growth rate of data centre services is unprecedented. Big data has rendered existing systems practically useless and we are already seeing many financial services turning to us, as operators of Malta’s largest data centre footprint, to assist them in designing their data centre requirements and delivering a seamless process to them,” said Malcolm Briffa, Director of Business Services at Melita.
