Terms and Conditions / Flexi Bundle

Mobile Plan in Flexi Bundle 16/01/2017» Go Back

The following are the Terms and Conditions applicable in respect of the Mobile telephony service (“Service”) in the Flexi Bundle (“the Bundle “) being provided to customers (“the Customer”) by Melita Limited (“Melita”). By partaking in the Bundle, you are agreeing to all of these Terms and Conditions. For more information, please contact Customer Care on 27270270, from your fixed or 100 (call is free) from your Melita Mobile number, or +356 77100100 from any other network.

  1. Customer subscribing to the Bundle may choose to subscribe to the Service for an extra monthly charge, depending on tariff chosen,  by subscribing to one of the following:
    1. Top-Up Mobile Plan with 100 Melita minutes – Customer shall upon subscribing to this tariff pay €10 for which he will be given a €10 top-up card and a monthly charge of €1 per each SIM card subscribed to shall apply. Customer shall then benefit from the following:
      1. One (1) SIM card or more depending on number of SIM cards subscribed to;
      2. 100 minutes to all Melita numbers per SIM card.

Customers will benefit from the 100 minutes as of the 1st day of each month, should a Customer subscribe after the 1st of the month he will receive 100 minutes on the 1st of the following month.  Any unutilised minutes may be carried forward to the next month up to a maximum total of 200 minutes. Any additional minutes over and above the 200 minutes shall be lost. For all other usage standard mobile pre-paid rates shall apply. Customers subscribing to the Bundle may have a maximum of five (5) subscriptions to this tariff.

OR

  1. Budget Control Mobile Plan – Customer shall upon subscribing to this tariff pay a monthly charge of €15 and benefit from the following:
    1. 100 minutes for calls to all local fixed and mobile networks, automatically topped up to the account every month for the duration of the subscription. Any utilised minutes may be carried forward to the next month up to a maximum total of 200 minutes. Any additional minutes over and above the 200 minutes shall be lost;
    2. free calls to Melita fixed lines and Melita mobile numbers;
    3. 10GB WiFi data per month;
    4. handset, subject to availability

Customer may opt not to take the handset with this tariff. In that case, the Customer will benefit from additional credit of €2 monthly for the duration of the subscription every 15th of the month. This credit cannot be used for premium calls/SMS.

Customers will benefit from the 100 minutes as of the 15th day of each month, should a Customer subscribe after the 15th of the month he will receive 100 minutes on the 15th of the following month.

Rates for calls, SMS and data applicable to this tariff, whether local or international, as well as roaming, will be charged as published on the Melita website www.melita.com. Cost of Premium calls/SMS shall depend on the premium service. Access to premium calls/SMS is available only through the Customer’s own top-up.

Customers subscribing to this tariff shall have the possibility to subscribe to an internet bundle. If a Customer chooses to subscribe to an internet bundle he may do so upon signing of this Agreement or later during the term of the Agreement, Customer will remain subscribed to said bundles for the remaining term of the Agreement. For each bundle the Customer shall be charged €5 per month and shall benefit from 2GB.

OR

  1. Unlimited Calls and SMS Mobile Plan with 2GB – Customer shall upon subscribing to this tariff pay a monthly charge of €30 and benefit from the following:
    1. free calls to all registered local fixed line numbers;
    2. free calls to all registered mobile line numbers;
    3. free local SMS ;
    4. 2GB of data
    5. 10GB of WiFi data per month.

Rates for calls, SMS and data applicable to this tariff, whether local or international, as well as roaming, will be charged as published on the Melita website www.melita.com. Cost of Premium calls/SMS shall depend on the premium service.

Should the Customer exceed the 2GB of data as per his tariff he shall be charged an additional €5 and he will again benefit from 2GB.  Should the Customer exceed any additional 2GB in a particular month he will again be charged €5 and he will benefit from another 2GB.

OR

  1. Unlimited Calls and SMS Mobile Plan with 10GB – Customer shall upon subscribing to this tariff pay a monthly charge of €45 and benefit from the following:
    1. free calls to all registered local fixed line numbers;
    2. free calls to all registered mobile line numbers;
    3. free SMS;
    4. 10GB of data;
    5. 10GB WiFi data per month.
    6. unlimited incoming calls and SMS, free calls and SMS to Malta & 500MB of data when Customer is within EU Zone 1, excluding Malta

Rates for calls, SMS and data applicable to this tariff, whether local or international, as well as roaming, will be charged as published on the Melita website www.melita.com. Cost of Premium calls/SMS shall depend on the premium service.

Should the Customer exceed 10GB of data he shall be charged €5 and he will benefit from 2GB. Should the Customer exceed any additional 2GB in a particular month he will again be charged €5 and he will benefit from another 2GB.

  1. Customers subscribing to the Service agree and accept to be bound by these Terms and Conditions which should be read in conjunction with Melita’s Standard Terms and Conditions which are provided to the Customer for signing, and any other applicable Terms and Conditions including the particular Bundle Terms and Conditions, a copy of which are available on Melita’s website.
  2. Customers subscribing to Budget Control Mobile Plan, the Unlimited Calls and SMS Mobile Plan with 2GB and/or the Unlimited Calls and SMS Mobile Plan with 10GB tariff who wish to terminate their Bundle may do so and retain the tariffs mentioned in this clause, however, any minutes, data and credit topped-up shall be lost. Unutilised credit topped up by the Customer on the Top-Up Mobile Plan with 100 Melita minutes and Budget Control Mobile Plan shall only remain available to the Customer if he migrates on any other hybrid Tariff or downgrades to another prepaid plan. In such case, the Customer shall also refund Melita the retail cost of the handset/device (in the case of the Budget Control Mobile Plan tariff).
  3. This tariff is subject to a Fair Usage Policy as follows: If, in the reasonable opinion of Melita, the Customer’s use of the tariff is excessive, Melita may ask the Customer to moderate his/her usage. If after Melita has informed the Customer to moderate his/her usage, the Customer fails to do so, Melita reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Customer’s service or migrate him to another tariff plan. This tariff is meant solely for individual use only. Furthermore, Melita reserves its right to suspend or terminate the Customer’s service if he/she abuses of the service and/or uses it in a way for which it is not intended such as a SIM box.
  4. Melita reserves the right to suspend, amend or otherwise alter the Bundle and these Terms and Conditions at any time by giving you 30 days’ written notice of such amendments and such amendments shall automatically become part of these Terms and Conditions at the end of the said notice period. If you do not accept any such amendments, you have the right to terminate the service without incurring any penalty during the 30 day notice period.
